What is going on??

The New Sanno's Annual New Year's Eve Gala! A hotel-wide party with something for everyone. At Fairwinds, Ballroom, and Lobby will all have music and libations, a grand hors d'oeuvres buffet in the Ballroom, and the Bass drop at Midnight! Full hours of operation are below.
There will be A' la Carte dinner options in BZQ, Pacific Standard, and Kikuya at your leisure. Kids are welcome for a pool party and early countdown at The Edge. Please note Fair Winds and the Ballroom are 20 yo. and over only.

What does my NYE Gala package rate include?

Your room includes 1. A Commemorative Gift 2. Access to the Ballroom and Fair Winds festivities 3. NYE party favors 4. A welcome drink in the Lobby and Ballroom, with a few surprises throughout the night. 5. A complimentary custom breakfast menu and continental buffet in Pacific Standard to ring in the new year on January 1st. Kids eat free. As a Gala package attendee, you will receive a colored wrist band in your room when you arrive, that is your access pass to the events and for special perks that evening.

What is on the menu?

The restaurants will all be open until 20:00 with special courses or selected menus for the evening. Our new concept, Theo's, will not be available. In the Ballroom from 21:00 to 23:30, a grand spread of tapas, hors d'oeuvres, a seafood tower, sliders, salads, and sweets will be available. There will be a variety of seating options but no assigned seating, much like a nightclub, including dining tables, soft couch areas, and high tops to enjoy as the night progresses, all designed to accommodate a larger dance floor. At 23:30, we will open a giant Sanno Nacho Supreme bar, the perfect way to get prepared for 2027! There will be a limited “Lounge Menu” available for individual items after 00:30 in Fairwinds

What about drinks?

We will have those! Pre-Funk in the Lobby at 20:00, a Bubble Bar with sparkling drinks and chill vibes. At 21:00, both Fair Winds and the Ballroom open with full-on cocktail bars. Crafted cocktails, mocktails, wines, and beers are available. Cash and Credit Card accepted at the bar, no tabs, sorry.

New Sanno Access Policy:

Please be advised that, due to The New Sanno's designation as a U.S. Naval Joint Services Activity, valid identification and/or travel orders specifying Japan are required for entry into and utilization of The New Sanno facilities. Use of new Sanno lodging accommodations is limited to persons qualified under provisions of the Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA), including:

Active Duty U.S. Armed Forces
Civilians of U.S. Nationality with valid U.S. Government orders specifying travel to/via Japan
U.S. Embassy Tokyo Personnel authorized under USFJ Policy Letter 30-6

Credentials will be verified, and access to The New Sanno will be denied to anyone not possessing the appropriate identification, regardless of whether a room reservation has been made in advance. Please refer to https://www.thenewsanno.com/ for a complete listing of eligibility requirements.

What are the hours?

Who is E- Smoove?

DJ E-Smoove is a New Sanno, Tokyo, and USN legend! He is curating the entire evening to his vision for entertainment and decor. He will be joined by special musical guests as well. I recommend a YouTube/Facebook search for a better vibe and details.

Is there a dress code?

Dress to impress, but be true to yourself and comfortable. The "theme" is a Gala; while not formal, there will be some flash and bling for sure.

Is there childcare?

No, Unattended Minors Policy from CNRJ is followed. If you intend to bring minor children of any age 17 and under, please contact The New Sanno for specific policy questions.

Will there be a countdown with noisemakers and other festivities?

Absolutely, both Fairwinds and the Ballroom will be loaded with fun equipment to get loud and wild at Midnight (and beyond)

What about parking?

**Hotel parking is extremely limited. Please consider using other forms of public transportation to get to the New Sanno Hotel. ON-SITE PARKING is subject to availability and on a "FIRST OCCUPIED BASIS." The New Sanno Hotel does not guarantee parking for guests, and we are unable to reserve parking spots. Parking is for guests utilizing The New Sanno only. Overnight parking is only authorized for guests staying with us. Your license plate number will be required at check-in. If there are no parking spaces left, our security team will provide a map to multiple local coin-operated parking areas and the location of Hardy Barracks, approximately 2 km away.

What about cancellation?

The New Year Package fee will be charged to your credit card within 7 business days after booking. To avoid a cancellation fee for the full amount, please cancel by October 31, 2026. Cancellations made after this date will result in forfeiture of the full package fee. You may still adjust your reservation dates (excluding December 31, 2026) up to 7 days before your arrival.
