Haneda Airport, located south of Tokyo, is primarily
for domestic flights.
To reach New Sanno from Haneda, take the
monorail ( which departs about every seven minutes during the day ) to the
end of the line at Hamamatsu-cho. Then, follow the signs to the Japan Railway
( JR ) tracks, and board the lime-green colored Yamanote Line train heading
toward Shibuya. Get off at the sixth ( 6th ) stop ( one stop before Shibuya ),
called EBISU.
At Ebisu, Take west exit to the Hibiya Subway, and ride
it one stop to HIROO. The New Sanno is seven-minute walk from there. From Ebisu,
a taxi will cost about 1,100 yen, and should take about 10 minutes.
CAUTION: A taxi from Haneda to The New
Sanno can cost as much as 7,000yen depending on traffic conditions. If you plan
to do this, take a taxi from the line in front of the terminal, and avoid the
comparatively expensive Airport Taxi service which has its desk inside the
airport terminals.
