WINE SELECTION

APPETIZER

Fume Blanc, Dry Creek Vineyard 2003, California
This vintage exhibits aromas of lemon-lime, grapefruit, melon and lemongrass. Its flavors follow suit with the addition of gooseberry and a subtle note of minerality. The wine's crisp acidity cleanses the palate and invites an array of foods, including seafood and fresh oysters.

SEAFOOD
Roussane and Grenache Blanc, Chateau La Liquiere 2008, France
This vintage displays a nose evoking ripe white fruit mixed with vanilla and white flowers. Silky palate and very elegant with flavors of pears and pineapples in the background.

GAME
Pinot Noir, Siduri "Chehalem Mountains" 2008, Oregon
The wine shows red cherry and clove flavors, with a smooth, velvet-like texture. On the palate the wine closes slightly, due to it's youth, but the finish opens up again and is lingering, long, and fine grained with lively acidity carrying the fruit flavors on and on.

ENTRÉE
Tempranillo, Altanza Seleccion Especial Reserva 2001, Spain
Deep ruby red in color. Ripe red and dark berry aromas are given an exotic twist by sweet vanilla, mocha and sandalwood. Strong oak notes mark the lush dark berry and kirsch flavors and add a slight bitterness, not to mention tannic structure. With air the fruit builds, beating up on the oak pretty well and carrying nicely through the long, spicy finish. Impressively persistent and juicy, with head turning depths of lush concentrated fruit.

DESSERT
Late Harvest Zinfandel, Dashe Cellars 2007, California
This years wine is more reminiscent of our 2005 vintage in its concentration and sweetness. The wine is extremely aromatic with spicy black pepper, cassis, and black raspberry flavors,. In the mouth, the wine shows explosive raspberry and cherry flavors, a thick, viscose mouthfeel, and a very clean, persistent, sweet finish that is reminiscent of cherry kirsch.
